'A holiday on the Norfolk Broads is ideal, the scenery mixed with the absolute peace and on a calm day it is quite magical. There are many choices for you to occupy your day (or not), fishing, sunbathing, walks, visits to quiet villages, spotting deer, otters, etc. The Broads is a magical place where time slows and you have time to appreciate the scenery and the people around you.'

'This was my ninth visit after a gap of 38 years and it was every bit as good. The boats are like luxury caravans in water, and the experience of driving them is a thrill. You are never stuck for something to do or to see, and the food at the pubs can be quite exceptional - but a barbecue on the bank is even better. I'm 64 and at my age the adventure is still simulating for the kid in me!'

'We regularly recommend the Norfolk Broads as an ideal holiday destination for all ages, and add that in our opinion Royall's Boats are the best maintained boats on the river. The Broads are a haven of wildlife and nature reserves where the amount of conservation work being carried out is most impressive. The public are not excluded from these areas but are welcomed into them and then leave better educated on the delicate balance between man and nature.'

'Royalls is one of the few remaining small family owned yards left and it is nice to have the friendly and personal service that is provided. We had a bottle of wine on the boat to welcome us and a bag of sweets for our homeward journey, lovely! We holiday most years on the Broads and have always been pleased with the service and boats from Royalls, we would highly recommend this holiday and are going again in September with the same yard! '

'we hired the Royal Diamond from Royalls boatyard and what a fantastic boat. The layout is brilliant, loads of room for 6 people (we all slept and sat in comfort), and everything on board was in great condition and really clean and well turned out. Even little things like a table cloth were included. The staff were great and really helpful and the bottle of wine as a welcome was also a nice surprise. '

'Royall's Boatyard is a cut above the rest, this is my 10th holiday on the Norfolk Broads on a hire cruiser and Royall's is by far the best boatyard I've ever visited. Their staff are incredibly helpful and their boats are the best kept cruisers I've ever seen. Spotlessley clean inside and out, and all the onboard facilities from the engine, the heating system, fridge, cooker, etc are kept to an oustanding level of care. The boat I hired was the Royall Diamond which had bow thrusters as standard and some amazing clean flush toilets which were a god send compared to the facilities I've used on other boats from other boatyards, as they are simple to use and by the end of our week they were both completely odour free.'
