'We had enormous fun!'
Mrs Y , Nr Royston on 06/06/2009
'This is a very relaxing holiday, you can do as little or as much as you want. Plenty to see and do for all ages. '
Mrs S , Kilmarnock , Ayrshire, on 01/11/2008
'We had a wonderful time and I would really recommend a boating holiday to others.'
Ms C , London, on 26/05/2008
'Recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing holday who likes everthing supplied for them. It would be difficult to improve any aspect of the holiday! '
Mr P , Wisbech , Cambridgeshire, on 31/08/2007
'I'd been on a holiday like this before and had told my new husband and my family what a great time I'd had. It took two years to persuade them to take this holiday but I can now happily say, we're all doing it again next year! A first class experience! '
Mrs S , Edinburgh , Midlothian, on 13/07/2007
'The boating trip (our 2nd in 9 months) it is so relaxing. The kids loved the adventure of living on a boat, feeding the swans and ducks and playing the odd pirate game, and as parents, we loved the feeling of taking time out. Mooring and keeping the boat on the river can be a good laugh for first timers. I would definitely recommend a boating holiday to anybody, young or old. '
Mr P , Northolt , Middlesex, on 27/04/2007
'Get used to the boat and then enjoy a peaceful, relaxing holiday, feeding the ducks and swans and having great fun at the same time. Its rather like extremely posh camping - both our girls (13 and 15 years old) said they would love to do it again, and they are not outdoor type people. Everybody had a fantastic holiday - we would recommend it.'
Mr E , ASHFORD on 05/06/2009
'The experience of being in control of your on boat is exciting, and to be able to travel the beautiful waterways of Norfolk at your own pleasure is fantastic. Stopping off at some of the most stunning villages in England for a BBQ and pint or 2 in a wonderful beer garden is a great way to spend time away in your own country.'
Mr C , Newcastle upon Tyne , Tyne and Wear, on 05/06/2009

The on site staff made us feel very confident about all aspects of navigating the Broads which allowed us to relax and enjoy the whole experience. '
Mr K , Stevenage , Hertfordshire, on 13/10/2008

'We have used Hoseasons on several occasions and always found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be booking with you again ! '
Mr C , Rochester , Kent, on 16/04/2007
'The Norfolk Broads is very probably one the most fulfulling and relaxing holidays currently available in the UK and will continue to be so for a very long time. I first went on the Broads 45 years ago at the age of 2 with my parents and I have very happy memories of these holidays. The peace and tranquility of certain areas such as Hickling Broad and having a BBQ at the rivers edge at Beccles are what the Broads is all about, lazy days cruising the Waveney - I could go on forever!'
Mr D , Middleton , Manchester, on 11/08/2006
'Fabulous relaxing times as you "put-put" in one direction, only to "put-put" back a few hours or days later!'
Mrs B , BOLTON on 05/06/2009
'Holiday was fantastic and covered miles for 1 week, (covered everything we wanted) would suggest this to anyone looking for a good boating holiday, keep on with the hard work and great service that we had. '
Mrs K , Horndean , Hampshire, on 06/09/2008
'Northern Broads are much prettier than the Southern Broads but bridge restrictions and overcrowding are a problem. '
Ms G , Kingston Upon Thames , Surrey, on 30/08/2008
'As soon as you set off you feel the freedom of the holiday, an hour later you've mastered the boat and are kicking back and just enjoying the ride. '
Mr W , Benfleet , Essex, on 23/06/2009
'The people were very nice and the boats were well maintained.'

Mrs W , SHEFFIELD on 24/08/2009

Mr C , Sheffield , South Yorkshire, on 19/05/2007
'This boating holiday was the most relaxing and enjoyable I have had in a long time. There is always something to do if you want, or just take in the sights and enjoy the time. '
Mrs B , Bradford , West Yorkshire, on 24/06/2006
'This was our first boating holiday. We usually go abroad for our holiday but decided to give the Norfolk Broads a chance. We cannot believe we hadn't done it before, we have had the most amazing time ever and we managed to get a tan which rivals the best of the holidays abroad. The boats may look difficult to manage, or you may wonder where you might get water or a pump out but fear not - there are plenty of sites available and all of them are very helpful. The scenery and wildlife are just amazing to watch, as is a sunset on a flat plain. Mooring your boat soon becomes a joy to do and stopping for a pint or a bite to eat at some remote Inn is paradise when you've sailed for a few hours. It is quite easy to cover most of the Broads within a week but I would recommend staying longer and taking your time - it is well worth it. One handy tip is get yourself a book on birds, even if you're not the worlds greatest birdwatcher, you would be amazed at the many different species which can be seen on the Broads and surrounding countryside. Please also read your manuals and guides which are supplied with your boat as the information is truly invaluable and can keep you out of trouble if followed properly. If you are considering visiting The Broads for the first time I can honestly say, you should have the best time of your life. We took a chance and have not regretted a minute of it - happy sailing!'
Mr S , Oldham , Manchester, on 04/08/2007
'The boat was excellent and met all our requirements and this type of holiday appeals to all ages and should be tried by everyone. It is the most relaxing way to unwind from normal life!'
Mr T , Brentwood , Essex, on 30/06/2007
'An awesome holiday, nothing to do but relax and enjoy the scenery - we will be back again for sure!'
Mr R , Wareham , Dorset, on 15/09/2007
'It is an unique holiday experience which should be done by everyone at least once in a lifetime. '
Mr G , Aylesbury , Buckinghamshire, on 03/06/2006
'The service from booking to departure afterwards was top class, the attitude of all parties involved to get us on the boat ready for the week and the finalization of the paper work at the end of the week. Would recommend Hoseasons & Richardsons to any person wanting to try boating for the first time.'
Mr B , Stanley , County Durham, on 06/09/2008
'This is one of the most relaxing holidays you can do even with small children.'

'From the moment we arrived we were looked after and dealt with efficiently and promptly. All the staff were helpful and friendly - I would recommend your company!'

So looks like we will be back for our 17th holiday on the Broads.'

Miss L , Swansea , West Glamorgan, on 18/11/2009
'This sort of holiday is a total break - slow paced and relaxing. Whilst you can plan each day it really does not matter if you don't reach your planned destination - this is probably because you have found something interesting on your journey, so you will get there but maybe a bit later than planned, but it doesn't matter as this type of holiday is just that - a pure chill out!! People you meet en route are helpful, friendly and we had an all round great time.'

'Nobody knows exactly where you are which is fantastic as you can't be reached if you don't want to be. In remoter parts such as Dilham there is no phone signal anyway (you can always use a phone box in an emergency!) You can make it the holiday you want. If you want to go out for a meal or drink every night then glam up and go. But if you want to chill and just watch the river life, nature and wave at other boats as they go by you can do that too. Being on the water is so relaxing. As you pull out of the boatyard, your worries and stresses just melt into the calming water - the best!!!!'

A nice touch with a full size fridge and the bed is as wide as a full size double and really makes for a comfortable time afloat. Oh and the new engine at the back makes things at the front nice and peaceful with no morning checks to make - hire with confidence!'
Mrs B , Lincoln , Lincolnshire, on 24/03/2008

'Star Gem was the perfect boat for just the two of us. Like a floating hotel, easy to handle and Richardsons boatyard were friendly and very efficient, both outgoing and incoming. At a very sedate 4-6mph this has to be one of the most relaxing holidays available. The wildlife is amazing if you take the time and care to find it - we saw swallow tailed butterflies at Martham Broad, and photographed an otter swimming along the edge of the channel leading to Netishead. Add to this black swans at Salhouse, and more herons than sparrows then this is a true nature fest. Go on, treat yourself to a Norfolk Broads boating holiday.'
Mr J , HERTFORD , Herts, on 11/06/2010
'We're a young city dwelling couple who work in the the rat race which is manic, the experience you get breaking away and finding yourself on a Hoseasons boat down the Broads in the sun, convertible roof down, cruising at about 3,4 mph watching nature pass you by like a tortoise, Is something every person young n old should experience.. this year was our 4th boating holiday so we're quite new.. this year we saw a deer by the river trotting along the banks that was something i'll never forget.. it truly is a different experience every trip.. many of my friends are now too enjoying the pleasure you get from a Hoseasons boat holiday 10/10 everytime.. Tops'

'A great experience, expect to be chilled out and relaxed. If you want active boating then plan your routes well, we got around most of the places we could and had lots of time fishing. The guys at the boat ard did their best to show us the ropes and done a really good job! There are great little pubs on the way round, we sampled a new one every night. Tesco's supermarket is next to Richardsons which was perfect to get our luggage on the boat, then pop off to reload the car to take supplies on with us, there is also a fishing tackle shop including bait around the corner from Tesco. There is a big Asda at Tarmouth to re stock, and again Tesco's at Beccles, and Morrisons in Norwich, plus loads other shops in Yarmouth and Norwich, not to mention bars! There are plenty of little shops on route for fresh milk papers etc and also lots of free moorings on the way too.'

We had a wonderful, though too short 4 days - I would recommend a minimum 7 day break to benefit as there is far too much to see in only 4 days. Everything about the company was excellent, very helpful staff and the boats are easy to operate. We shall be returning for another cruise - highly recommended!'

Mr R , Haywards Heath , Sussex, on 11/09/2006
'Brilliant time had by all - no improvements needed!'
Mr H , SOLIHULL on 16/08/2009
'I was advised before the holiday that I would be able to charge my phone with a car charger but I couldn't find a socket anywhere on the boat. The boat was described as having carpets in the living areas but it was lino throughout. There was absolutely no TV reception no matter where the aerial was placed. We found it almost impossible to moor in many of the more popular areas and it isn't even peak season. We had been on a broads holiday previously on the boat Soprano and we paid a similar amount for a far superior boat, admittedly it was in May but on bank holiday weekend. We are a little disappointed as we feel that the broads experience is expensive in comparison to other holidays we could have booked for the same money. '
Mrs B , SPALDING on 21/07/2009
'It is very relaxing there are lots of places to got to and young children enjoy the boat ride. '
Mrs M , Barking, on 08/11/2008

'Cruising the Broads is a great family holiday with lots to do and see. I was worried that my 4 year old may get a bit bored but she loved every minute! Mr K , Staines , Middlesex, on 01/09/2007

Mr P , Grimsby , Lincolnshire, on 15/07/2006

'If you want a relaxing holiday, doing something different, stopping somewhere new every night, seeing things you would never see in a car, then this is for you. If your one of those boring people who like just sitting on a beach all day and doing nothing then look somewhere else. All you have to do is just jump aboard, drive at a very relaxing pace for as long as you want and then moor up and explore. If you want some night life along the way there is always Norwich or Great Yarmouth or you can just stop at the the side of the river and be completely on your own. You can chose your own accommodation to suit your budget, once on board there is not a lot of additional expense (unless you want to eat out every night) other than minimal mooring fees depending where you moor and a toilet pump out if your on for more than one week. This is certainly one holiday that i would recommend to anyone who likes to do something a little bit different.'
