'Mooring in the heart of Newbury and having lunch in the town centre was a unique experience. The villages we passed and explored had some wonderful pubs. The reach to Pewsey from Newbury went through some lovely remote countryside with a lot of locks. We met some very friendly people as time slowed on the journey.'

'A fortnights holiday on the Kennet & Avon Canal from Aldermaston enables you to get to the lovely city of Bath. We spent the weekend in Bath moored just below the spendid horseshoe weir. The people were so friendly and the towns and villages are very attractive as was the countryside and the canal.'

'I would recommend this holiday as the Kennet & Avon Canal is beautiful - despite the rain and therefore mud we had. Reading Marine Co. was efficient but perhaps assumed that we were a little more experienced than we were. '

'We've just spent a week with an extended family of 8 adults and 6 kids on this and the Caen Hill. If you've got young kids make sure you spend time at Newbury as the park there is brilliant. We had a fantastic time and will certainly do it again!'
