'If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy lifestyle, then I would highly recommend Arbour Cottage. Stock up the fridge and freezer although Bakewell is only 2 miles down the hill. For a relaxing romantic few days, perfect. 4 poster bed which is very comfortable, the cottage is very warm and welcoming.'

'This holiday in the Peak District (Manor Court Cottages) was first class. The accommodation was out of this world. It was 4 star. Everything was modern, spotless and the owner was so helpful and friendly. It was in the most beautiful countryside with Bakewell just 2 miles away. We had a fantastic time.'

'A great centre for walkers, and a proper 'ale' pub just down the road to rest your feet when you've done almost 200 yards! A lovely location overlooking the Lathkill Dale and superbly fitted out with modern appliances - difficult to fault really, we had a great time! '

The owner was very friendly and welcoming and made sure that all our needs were met. The Village itself was beautiful with breath taking views over the countryside, perfect! 'We had a fabulous time. Manor Barn is located in a peaceful location with many tourist attractions less than 40 minutes drive away. The barn is furnished to an exceptionally high standard and we wanted for nothing! We can't recommend it enough and will be booking again soon....'

'We had a wonderful weeks holiday at Manor Barn. The cottage was gorgeous with beautiful decor but entirely child and dog-friendly (ie. wipe clean!) The private backyard and hot tub was fantastic, the kids were constantly in it - it was definitely worth paying that bit extra for. Marie the owner is lovely, very helpful and very 'laid back' about everything. The scenery here is stunning - wander down the road to the Lathkill Hotel and enjoy a pint while looking out over Lathkill Dale, its breathtaking! For a very nice family friendly pub/restaurant, head for the Grouse and Claret, just outside Bakewell on the A6 towards Matlock. We turned up with 4 noisy kids in tow and they didn't bat an eyelid! Also try 'Sugacane' in Bakewell - they have an amazing milkshake menu (something like 176 flavours)!'
