'Excellent holiday for unwinding and getting away from it all magnificent scenery and you meet such nice people on the canal (on the whole)'

'The canal is beautiful, the trip up to Llangollen is particularly amazing with the aqueducts and viaducts. The variety of wild flowers, plants, trees and bird and animal life was also worth the experience.'

'We booked Romantic Lady as the first week of our honeymoon and it was just what we wanted. Peaceful, relaxing and easy-going and the boat was undersold as the facilities on board far exceeded our expectations. The location was lovely, Llangollen is a beautiful area, all the other boaters were friendly, as were all the tow-path users. '

'This was our first canal boating holiday. We had an amazing week & met so many people who were really friendly & helpful. The staff @ Maestermyn cruisers, Whiitington were really friendly and we were given good instructions & shown what we would need to do. We would just like to say Thank you and looking forward to going again next year.'

'As first canal boaters we found this type of holiday to be very relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely be trying it again but probably on a different canal.'

'Yes I would like to recommend this holiday as a wonderful experience whether or not you have been on a boating holiday before. The staff at the boatyard are friendly, give you a thorough boat handling briefing and are on call if you have any difficulties. The opportunity of travelling through the beautiful countryside at a leisurely pace, seeing the wildlife and farm animals at close quarters is quite an eye opener. We are looking forward very much to choosing another narrowboat holiday very soon. '

'The staff at Maestermyn were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. I really felt that they wanted us to have a great time, not just get us on the boat and out of the moorings. Once you have mastered the controls there is nothing like the peace and tranquility of a canal boat holiday. Everyone you meet on the water has a friendly smile and everyone helps each other, if you get in a mess, someone on the next boat is there with a push or piece of advice. The holiday was without doubt the most social holiday we have had, we met 2 fantastic families who despite only knowing for days will be friends forever. We were worried our 9 and 11 year old girls would tire of the lack of theme park style excitment, on the contrary, they loved the peace, the animals and the pubs and restaurants we stopped at and raiding the shops everytime we stopped to stock up with provisions. A great family holiday! '

'A great family holiday. We took the parents and our three children. There were plenty of places to moor overnight and pubs and resturants to eat out in. '

'Having now had several barge/cruiser holidays, Llangollen Canal was undoubtedly the best. Scenery was fantastic and boat was excellent. Also, unlike most boatyards, at Maestermyn there seemed to be plenty of space to leave your car when on the canal. It was also good that we could park our car right next to the boat when unloading and loading. Staff were very friendly and helpful.'

'A real chill out and relaxing holiday with lots of fresh air to recharge the batteries. Even now back at work I remember the beautiful scenery of travelling up the avenue of trees towards Ellesmere and it relaxes me straight away. I recommend everyone should have this type of holiday at least once in their lifetime!'
