'An amazing experience, I had not been cruising for some 20 years and it reminded me of just how unique and enjoyable it is to truly get away from it all whilst staying active. Close ups of wildlife, wonderful scenery and history and plenty of good pub meals. Lot's of fun for everyone and some really good photographic memorie - very pleased! '

'It was absolutely wonderful to feel that you have got away from everything, even though the real world is near at hand. For four days we puttered along the Macclesfield Canal, taking walks along the well managed tow path or sat and watched the countryside glide by.'

'I can definitely recommend a canal boating holiday, but do take your time and dont rush it. Really enjoyable, just allow yourself time to relax and enjoy the places.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip on a narrow boat and have booked two weeks next year!! The boat was very cosy and comfortable. It was very relaxing, and good to be out in the open air all day. The locks were much easier than I thought they would be and we had lots of help from other boaters. We saw lots of herons and kingfishers.'

'We did the Cheshire Ring. We completed it in a week but found it very hard going, Not for the faint hearted but well worth the experience. With a little bit of extra hard work we were able to tour to Buxworth Basin, have a lovely meal at the Navigation pub which we would recommend and experience some of the most beautiful canal scenery on the area.'

'We (a family of 5) have just completed the Cheshire Ring in one week. I wouldn't recommend it for the novice boater as some days we were cruising for 12 hours doing 27 locks in one particular day through Manchester. Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our week and have come back feeling very happy with our achievement.'
