'The area is excellent for walking and getting out and about by road is very easy. Hotel bar just across from cottage is very welcoming with excellent food. Swimming pool and leisure facilities on site also very good. Staff very friendly. Kitchen area is very small with only one small worktop. Overall though a very good holiday desination.'

'As a touring base our holiday could not be beaten. Never having been to the area before we were astounded by the range and scope of things to do. A trip to Beamish should be recommended to all who stay here. The leisure club was fantastic and our two weeks was one of the best holidays we have had. We will stay there again and have already recommended it to friends and family. '
