'An excellent experience in beautiful surroundings. Helpful staff and comfortable boat, many thanks.'
Mr F , WEYMOUTH on 07/12/2009
'The staff at Caley Cruisers were friendly and helpful and the boat was clean, comfortable and had everything you could wish for. The scenery was stunning, particularly the autumn colours - it really was a fantastic holiday! '

'The holiday was great and we will definitely be coming back - perfect!'
Mrs J , Pontyclun , Wales, on 18/08/2007
'Caley Cruisers staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The Caledonian Canal itself is stunningly beautiful and peaceful, even at the height of the holiday season we often saw only a handful of boats cruising each day. The little town of Fort Augustus provides contrast - bustling with tourists, busy inns and the classic Scottish image of bagpipes played by the waterside. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and the cameraderie between holiday sailors was fun - sharing recommendations for mooring sites and helping others.'
Mrs P , Hemel Hempstead , Hertfordshire, on 03/08/2007

'The sheer beauty of the surroundings as one cruises the canal and lochs, and the friendliness and hospitality of everyone we encountered. '
Mrs F , Liverpool , Merseyside, on 04/10/2008
'A wonderful way to really see Loch Ness is to live on Loch Ness for a few days! This is a holiday within a holiday. The breathtaking scenery of the Lochs and the overwhelming views of Ben Nevis at Banavie are magnificent. I don't think we could of experienced a better way to discover Scotlands most famous landmarks and scenery. A real get away but with the excitement of adventure, the kids loved it as much as we did! Fantastic and we will definitely be doing it again!'
Mr L , IPSWICH on 02/08/2009
'This has got to be the most tranquil chilled out holiday ever, everything from initial contact through training to handover at the end is so well organised you don't need to worry at all. The moorings along the route have the best showering and toilet facilities I have ever encountered.'
Mr M , HIGH WYCOMBE on 02/09/2009
'Totally relaxing friendly way to spend a couple of weeks, stunning scenery fantastic people, the weather is a bonus if its nice, if its not it is still a beautiful part of the world. Probably be hard work for young children to occupy themselves, but we did see some having a whale of a time driving the boats and tying up. '

'The staff were most helpful and I would recommend a trip to Scotland for anyone anywhere in the UK. We travelled from Cornwall and it was well worth the 12 hour journey. The video and training was excellent, we have been on boats on the Thames and Norfolk Broads many times and never have we had such a good hand over - thank you very much!'
Mr L , Saltash , Cornwall, on 31/08/2007
'Terrific experience with stunning scenery. '
Mr R , Northwich , Cheshire, on 18/08/2006
'I will challenge anyone not to feel relaxed after a couple of days on the water. Gently motoring and meandering along the lochs and canals through such breathtaking scenery it is impossible not to wind down and chill out. Everybody was so friendly on the waterway - especially the lock keepers who always had a friendly word to say. We enjoyed all sorts of activities along the way - walking in the hills, Ceilidh dancing in Drumnadrochit, the fabulous food market in Fort William, Celtic presentation in Fort Augustus, swimming in the lochs. My son even had a sighting of the loch ness monster at 3a.m. in the morning one night!! So all in all, a beautiful, relaxing and varied holiday. We could enjoy busy pubs at night in the villages or on the canal side, but we were also able to completely escape. One night we moored on the canal side and didn't see a soul from 6pm until 9am. And to top it all, we had a view of Ben Nevis to the one side and a fantastic sunset on the other. A holiday I think everyone should experience. '
Mr O , Whitchurch , Shropshire, on 07/08/2006
'A very peaceful and relaxing holiday. '
Mrs B , Brackley , Northamptonshire, on 24/07/2006
'Very relaxing and wonderful scenery and a "quality time" holiday for our family. Other canal users are always willing to help and offer advice for us novices - we are looking forward to repeating the experience! '
Ms C , Bristol , Avon, on 10/08/2007
'I would recommend this holiday to anyone who loves nature and the remote and beautiful places. It is great to unwind and reflect and is an active holiday for those who don't like simply to laze about. It is good for kids too as they love the responsibility of the boat.'
Ms G , London on 03/09/2009
'Wonderful scenery, friendly people, excellent boat - all in all a fabulous relaxing holiday. '
Mr R , Boston , Lincolnshire, on 26/08/2006

'Who needs abroad, when you got the the Scottish Highlands/heaven.'
Mr R , SALTBURN-BY-THE-SEA on 30/08/2009
'Waking up looking out on to Loch Ness can not be beaten! Holidays a float are an excellent way of relaxing, there is so much to see and do and you wake each morning somewhere different. '
Mr R , Eastbourne , East Sussex, on 29/09/2008
'We loved the whole experience and though brand new to this type of holiday, the initial briefing and driving instruction made us feel much more comfortable. Everyone was incredibly helpful from the ladies who welcomed us to the men who showed us the boat and even the various bridge operators and lock keepers - it was incredible. The sectional map we were given which showed us all the facilities was ideal and well referred to. There are absolutely no complaints we can make, everything went completely to plan and was immensely enjoyable, rest assured we will be back! '
Mrs H , Strathaven , South Lanarkshire, on 05/05/2008
'The scenery is beautiful and the people working on the canal locks and in the restaurants are very friendly and helpful. The restaurants along the way are good value for money and the food is excellent. '
